Welcome! Iâm Jamie Siv Rognstad
Iâm a Norway-based writer, adventurer, visionary, and quirky communication nerd. People ask me about communication all the time. âWhat do I say to this?â âHow do I respond to that?â âWhat would you say if...?â And I am definitely here to answering the call to share more of my work publicly.
After several, (yes several), different educations in communication, including text for theatre, critical theory, journalism, marketing, and communication, and more than 30 years working in corporate communication as a communications manager, marketing manager, PR officer, and copywriter, you could say the nerdiness runs deep.
In 2010 I was finally ready to leave corporate life and figure out what to do with the rest of my life.
So I gave notice, got a one-way ticket to Austin, Texas, bought a van, loaded it up with everything I needed for a road trip, and drove around the desert by myself for three months. It was mind-expanding and life-changing.
When I was done with the desert, which could honestly be a great book title (Done with the Desert!), I drove straight to Encinitas, California, rented an apartment, and started my first coaching business, Coffee & Coaching on the Beach. That took off, and clients seemed to come out of the woodwork to work with me.
Iâve been asked how I could just stay in the US, and whether I was there legally. Yes, I was. Iâm an American citizen, born in Chicago, Illinois, and I carry both an American passport and a Social Security card.
Anyway...
On one of my trips to Norway to visit my son and family, I went to a pub for a show, met the love of my life, and stayed. I took my business online, and for the last several years Iâve worked with female coaches and experts, visionary leaders, and creatives. I help them find the message that puts them in their authority and makes their thought leadership clear.
What IS actually Thought Leadership?
Letâs just agree on one thing; You can be a Thought Leader for ONE person. You donât need hundreds, thousands of thens of thousands of followers and clients to be considered a Thought Leader.
And yes! You CAN call yourself a Thought Leader.
One of the biggest issues I hear about among Thought Leaders, are that they arenât seen heard or Acknowledged the way they want to be. And the reason is very clear to me: If youâre a Thought Leader and you feel like noone sees or hears you⌠if your Thought Leadership isnât acknowledged⌠itâs because you are too vanilla to be heard, too vague to be valued. Itâs time to untame that vloice and be heard when you say it as you see it.
I help Thought Leaders create the message that puts them in their authority and makes their thought leadership clear.
